  • Though this place has a good business dining aura, it is still pretty decent for a casual night dinner catch up with friends. Ordered the bread, oysters, fish and the nasi Goreng. The fish was cooked perfectly just lacked a bit of seasoning. The oysters were good but can't say it was that fresh. Rest was pretty decent. Overall a good experience. The cake too was good, but wish it could have been better.

  • Would not eat here again. I had the pork and half the plate was filled with oily coleslaw and no veggies at all. Pork was nice though. My partner ordered the asparagus starter Only to be told this was not in season, change your menu to suit the season. Desserts were amazing, deconstructed lemon tart and chocolate cake, best part of the meal, expensive for what you get. Try twenty seven steps just across the road for a meal, just brill.

  • It's a fairly standard hotel restaurant. The food was expensive, slow to arrive, and not as nice as other places in Christchurch.

  • Our third meal here and the first for some time. Nice decor, friendly staff though not the knowledge exhibited on the previous occasions. Very average garlic bread, which was really a small loaf with some garlic (sort of) butter. The main was very good though. Both my wife and I had the grilled lamb rump with artichokes and new potatoes, with a broccoli side. Nice lamb and sauce, but broccoli nondescript. Dessert? Wow, one of the best for a while. Beautifully light flourless chocolate cake and a smooth light chocolate mousse, Creme fresh and berries. And a large portion too!! A lovely Marlborough Wither Hills Pinot Gris, a very tasty Hoprocker beer were reasonably priced. All in all, very pleasant though not outstanding, except for the desert!
