  • One of the best restaurants I visited during my week in Banff - maybe even the best restaurant I visited in Banff. Even for a Saturday, we could walk right in and get an excellent table immediately. The hostess, our great waiter Tyler, and other helpers were friendly and genuinely cared about our experience there. In fact, not only did they make sure our dinner went well, they also wanted to make sure we had the best time in Banff possible. I was impressed that it was casual yet upscale at the same time. The ambience is romantic and cool. My steak was cooked perfectly and was dripping with taste. My partner's ribs literally fell off the bone! The portions were great and all meals come with unlimited salad bar (LOVE that!) so there was absolutely no way you could leave still hungry. I didn't need to salt, pepper, or butter anything on my plate because it was seasoned so well. If you are looking for a place to get Alberta beef I would highly recommend Bumper's.

  • Stayed at the hotel and after a long drive decided to eat in the hotels restaurant. We were not disappointed. The food was good quality, well cooked and hot. The latter was essential for a cold rainy day. We were served by Tyler who was extremely helpful and served us well. The real treat came at the end when mi marked for the bill. As we were staying at the hotel, were the restaurant is situated, they gave me 10% off the bill. Thank you and thanks for a lovely meal.

  • Awful. Just awful. Visited Bumpers with my spouse, son and parents in law for dinner on a Friday evening. All of us ordered the prime rib. Every single one of us was disappointed. My son refused to eat more than 1/4 of his prime rib. He said the only tasty food on his plate were the green beans. This was definitely not the same pleasant dining experience that my spouse and I have previously enjoyed while dining at the Bumpers in the previous location under the original owners. We were hoping to treat my parents in law to yummy Bumpers food. That did not happen and I felt terrible for suggesting this place. My prime rib (7oz medium) tasted like liver. Ugh! The salad bar did not have any tomatoes, black olives, or cucumbers. My "salad" consisted of lettuce and celery. Hmmm... My son said the potato salad was "just ok". We should have gone to the Keg instead!!! The only positives were: nice decor, interesting lighting, and a friendly young male server.

  • We were staying in the Rundlestone, where Bumpers is located. We were a little apprehensive after reading some not so wonderful reviews of their breakfasts, but decided to try it anyway, mostly because it was in the hotel and therefore very convenient. And we were glad that we did. They offered a hot buffet, a cold continental buffet and full breakfast menu. We both opted for the continental buffet, and it was very good. They had a nice selection of fruits, cereals, yogurts, muffins bagels and pastries and all you would expect. Everything was nicely presented, the food was very good and the price was reasonable and included juices and coffee - perfect start to our day. The server was quick and efficient and friendly, and looked after us very well - thank you. I think Bumpers just needs to promote themselves a bit more around the hotel and area as a great breakfast place, because they are.
