The guy who took me there said "we're going to a NY style deli". The next time I'm in NY, I will be SCOURING the city looking for a Pastrami sandwich that good! What a delight! It got to be lunchtime today and I started salivating thinking about that Pastrami sandwich from Lovi's! Couldn't recommend more highly.

There have been attempts over the years to put a deli in Calabasas. Bagel Nosh crashed and burned years ago and the other options were in Woodland Hills and not great. Finally, Calabasas has a deli with all the stuff it should. Full deli menu, baked goods, etc. They even have a great patio and nice bar area with TV's. We love having brunch on the patio and most everything has been good in all our visits. If you plan to go by for breakfast or lunch on a weekend, it gets busy and the patio is certainly tough to get.

Really the only restaurant you would ever need. Their menu is larger than The Cheesecake Factory. Hands down, this is the place for brunch. There French toast tower is something to behold. Brunch cocktails are wonderful. Be sure not to miss the bloody Mary, pomatini, or lovirita. Being a Southerner, the breakfast feast is straight from Dixie. The large omelettes menu offers something for everyone. The best Jewish penicillin, that's matzo ball soup for the goya, can't be beat. Mom won't even make it anymore. Chicken in a pot is a different take on the dish. The potato latke and knish are as good as you would find in New York. When you need a little afternoon nosh, there's a nosh bar. The calves liver and falafel wrap are also great. A certain reality tv family can be seen hitting the nosh bar hard. I love the truffle bacon cheeseburger and truffle fries. There's an endless Mexican menu that is the best around. The Romanian steak is flawless. And the meatloaf is better than what mom ever made. There's also an extensive Italian menu with divine chicken marsala. In addition to the extensive dessert menu the deli has a host of fresh baked cakes and cookies made in house daily. There Napoleon is world famous. The service is always top notch. There's plenty of parking and don't rush. Come in and sit a spell. There wine list is impressive and bar well stocked with mixologist on hand to make your favorite libation concoctions.
