  • South of India truly do the best and most authentic Indian in Christchurch! Very friendly atmosphere, favorite place to go for dinner.

  • My wife and I eat here regularly. .usually take away. The staff are very friendly and welcoming. A wide variety of choices are available. Two of our favourites are the Chicken Tenali (House Special) and Vegetable Korma. We like our food spicy hot but be careful what you ask for. We've found that Medium (or medium-hot) packs a punch. We've NEVER had a bad meal and enthusiastically recommend this place to anyone in the area. The parking is also very convenient and the sound of the nearby sea makes it all worthwhile.

  • This was our first visit in a while but we won't wait so long till our next one. We went for a chicken overload for entree and main, and plain and sesame naan. As always the food was fabulous and the restaurant clean with friendly and fast service. The location (just across from the beach) is fantastic and you can have a stroll along the beach or pier after you've eaten. Also if you need to catch a bus, the bus stop is only a couple of minutes away. I'd recommend erring on the lighter side. Your spice preference as they are quite spicy, and also if you order an entree each you might want to share a main or there will be way too much food!
