  • Warning! Only come here if your super hungry. I had the satisfaction which is essentially a jumbulaya. It had the perfect amount of spice and loads of Cajun flavour. I pretty much needed to be rolled out in a wheel barrel I was so full. I went at lunch time on a Tuesday and the service was lightning fast and it was easy to tell the food was fresh hot from the pan to my plate within no time. I also paid market price of $14 for an alligator skewer which I thought was well worth it to try once. If I had more money I would order it more often though = ) the alligator skewer was delicious also!

  • Could not say enough good things about this place. The service was attentive from the beginning to the end. We had the gumbo, mussels, fried chicken and the chicken poulet. We left so full and satisfied that we could hardly move but loved it. Try the jalapeno margarita - so good. Will definitely be back.

  • My boyfriend and I came here for our anniversary and soon our arrival we were greeted by a friendly lady who sat us to our table. Seconds later the owner came to our table and offered first round of drinks were on him. I was so surprised to see that because its rare these days. While waiting for our food we enjoy the lovely jazz music that played softly in back ground, the décor was quaint and beautiful like New Orlands. When our meals arrived the presentation was very nice matched the theme well and boy was it delicious. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone

  • We haven't been to the Purchase for over a year. The Purchase became one of the first restaurants that made our favorites list many years ago when we moved to Edmonton. Since then the menu has changed somewhat and the prices are higher, but the quality and quantity of food hasn't changed. In fact, in our opinion these two factors have improved. Our personal factors include Louisiana Jambalaya, Seafood Boudin, and Blackened Catfish. And the Bread Pudding is beyond great, if you actually have room for dessert. On this visit our bill for the three of us was just under $100 (not including tip). Needless to say, the Purchases will remain on our favorites list. Only negative on this visit was that we had to ask our server for our bill even though she had cleared on table. This is not the norm.
