  • We happened upon this restaurant upon arriving in Fussen. It was great and tasted like home cooking. The service was attentive and I appreciated being checked on. I had the sausage, sauerkraut and potatoes. Honestly, it reminded me of the food my Grandma used to cook. For dessert, I shared the berries and ice cream. It was a sweet ending to the meal without feeling too "heavy." I recommend Gasthof Woaze if you want friendly service and a hearty meal!

  • Ended up sitting outside on the front patio because dogs were not allowed inside but we had 10 minutes before the commonly-agreed-upon 2100 kitchen closing times of all the nearby restaurants. Service was a bit rushed when we ordered but slow after that. Had the chicken and the brats and potatoes plate. The food was delicious, beer was wet and atmosphere was relaxed. The closing time of the restaurants drove our decision to stay and eat here, but it wasn't worth a return visit (or recommendation).

  • Seemingly more authentic and less touristy than some other more recommended restaurants, Gasthof Woaze is a good choice in the heart of Fussen aldstadt (old town). Localised menu, large selection, decent drinks menu and importantly reasonable prices. More affordable than others nearby. Pork knuckle was great, massive and the soup and salad combination we selected was more than enough for 2. The restaurant was homely enough - wooden decor, low ceilings and kitschy displays in the bay windows. Overall, we left full, satisfied and pleased it didn't damaged the budget badly. Goulash soup, Wurst Salad, Pork knuckle, 2 beers and a wine = Euro 35. Not cheap but very competitive. Recommended between the tourist places..... Enjoy
