It was some Turkmeni holiday and this restaurant was jumping the night we were there. Only a 10 min. or so walk from the hotel--you know the hotel, there is only the one. The high flame BBQ kebabs and lamb chops and beer was all very acceptable, and we enjoyed our meal and people watching. Not only people watching, at some point across the river a drover was herding first cows and then later some one was herding goats. Nice touch, very bucolic.

You'd never know this place were open. All the lights are dimmed and if not for seeing people going in and out, I would've gone back to my hotel and had an overpriced meal. Luckily, they were open but the meal was hardly anything to write home about.
