  • I often receive emails from individuals regarding how to rate a restaurant. This is both subjective and objective criteria based on years of travel. Nonetheless, the server was great; food mediocre!! The appetizer, shrimp cocktail, tasted mediocre and appeared frozen in form. Entree one, ordered a Ribeye and served a sirloin steak; not once; but twice!! Entree two, ordered Ribs and Chicken combo; ribs were good; small chicken portion!! Side dishes served hot!! Cheesecake came from a commissary!!

  • Our party of 8 decided to sit in the bar and there was limited service available but they did great to meet our needs. Food was good, no complaints. Prices were a little out there but the all day happy hour made up for the main dish $.

  • I should have obeyed my "no chain" rule but it's difficult to find an independent steakhouse for less than $50+/entree. So, foolishly, I went to Black Angus. There was a 10 minute wait, even though the restaurant was nearly empty. We were seated in a corner and everything, I mean everything involved waiting 15 minutes just to see the server. Our dinner took 2 hours and 20 minutes! Sadly, the ridiculous wait didn't assure us good food. The ribeye was half gristle, the salad had hardly any dressing, the vegetable was barely edible... I could go on but I think my point is clear. I was pretty steamed about the whole experience. I spent $50 on two barely edible dinners, spent an entire evening on a dinner that should have taken 45 minutes and was treated rudely by the server and the manager when I told them the steak was half gristle. So I contacted their corporate customer service department. What I discovered is that Black Angus cares so much about their customers that they employ ONE PERSON to handle customer service. ONE! It takes forever to hear back from her. She finally did call me back and listened to my complaint. She had the restaurant manager call me and he offered to send me a gift card in the amount I spent. It never came. I called her again two weeks later. Thus far, three calls in, I've not heard back. Apparently their customer service policy is "drag their heels until the customer gets tired and goes away." Well, I may go away but I won't go quietly. Don't eat her. The food is sub-par as is the service. And clearly the company doesn't care about their guests.

  • I've never been to a black angus but went today with my family with a 2 for $40 campfire dinner coupon. It was a crazy amount of food and l of it was excellent. I'll be honest I'm a steak snob (see my other reviews from Vegas) and this place hit it on the mark. The service was fast and friendly, our glasses didn't go empty. The waitress even brought our 2 year old son a couple Togo sauce containers with a chuck of ice in each to play with, extremely thoughtful and a great idea! My wife and I got the filet nachos which were not only tastey but a big portion. Our other family members did the same deal and got the fried zucchini and that too was delicious. For the main course we ordered the prime rib and the New York steak. Both were seasoned well, cooked to perfection (med rare family for us) and served hot. The sides were good as well from mashed potatoes, Mac n cheese, green beans, etc. For dessert we got the carrot cake and the chocolate lava cake. Both were the right amount of sweetness, moist, big portions to share, and just the icing on the cake to a perfect meal! I wouldn't think twice about coming back here, especially with the 2 for $40 coupon. It's not often that everything from service, to food quality, to prices all line up for a great dining experience. Just like anything, the entire team from the hostess, waitress, chef, cooks, dish washers, management are responsible for this and their hard work definately shows!
