  • We had a great time at Portes du Paradis. The owners are very personable and nice. They take the time to talk to you and get to know you. The food was excellent and 100% authentic and local. Coconut crab and local fish was what we had. Nous avons passe un tres bel moment aux Portes du Paradis. Les patrons sont tres sympas. Ils prennent le temps de vous parler. La cuisine etait excellent, 100% locale. La crabe au cocotier et la poisson etaient ce que nous avons pris.

  • The food is very local - but not cheap. We had green papaya with curry powder, a mound of rice - cooked with coconut milk maybe, and a whole small fish gutted and grilled. Price CFP 2500 - around NZ$35. There was no one there our night - just us. You can do better on Ouvea.
