  • It’s a rather small place on Calle del Medio – should not be confused with Café Catedral that you may encounter in the vicinity of the cathedral. We went to La Catedra for our last dinner during short trip to northern Spain and it turned out to be a perfect choice. Their garlic prawns (langostinos al ajillo) are absolutely fanstastic, as well as fried green peppers (pimientos de Padron). Some other guests seemed to be very happy with cuttlefish with coriander (chipirones al cilantro). Great wine, very nice atmosphere, pleasant decor. One of the best meals on our trip. Paid around 23 euros for two raciones and 4 glasses of wine. Highly recommended.

  • A cosy place we stumbled upon by accident. Small but very pretty interior with a few tables, yet there are more outside. Popular with the locals and tourists alike, the chap behind the bar couldn't have been more accommodating in light of my crap Spanish. Fast service considering how busy it was, the raciones we ordered were delicious, and very reasonably priced. A great place for tapas and a few drinks. Can get very busy of course like a lot of places to eat and drink around Santander, but the liveliness is all part of the fun.

  • This is a lovely place for some tapas or a light meal,its small inside but you can eat and drink outside,the staff are friendly and the service is good.A trendy bar of all ages.Good Atmosphere.

  • Found this place quite easily after we'd got our bearings a bit on our second day in Santander. The owner was very friendly, lovely man and although he cannot speak English there was an English translated menu. Particularly tasty 'slider' mini burger with goats cheese and caramelised onion. Accidentally ordered a wrong dish and the owner tried to take it off the bill but as it was our own fault we insisted on paying. He gave a free coffee instead which was very kind. Very much recommended.
