  • The manager here seems to be out of his league running the place- when we arrived the place was nearly full, very busy, which should be a very good thing for a restaurant. But the manager was loudly & openly flapping about, barking orders at the waiting staff, interuppting their 'flow'. He called our waitress away while she was taking our order, and told her (we could hear) to 'give us a few more minutes'- huh? We were already ordering!! Later when she arrived with the peppermint tea, she asked if it was ours, we said yes, thank you- she went to put it down, and the manager again called her away to say 'Peppermint tea? Table 5!' she looked perplexed, and then he realiesd his mistake & said 'oh yes, table 3', and she nervously returned to pour us our tea..... I ordered strawberry tea which didn't appear at all, except on the bill, which then had to be removed. Lots of good things on the menu, perhaps it's better at other times. But mostly it seems the manager needs to calm down & stop flapping about, leave the waiting staff to do their jobs. The Vietnamese coffee tasted unpleasant, too bitter and too sweet at the same time, not at all like the Vietnamese coffee we've had many times previously. The cakes are ok, all out of factory packets but that seems to be the done thing here. Ps: Peppermint tea served in tiny glass cups- lovely.
