Food and service were wonderful. Each item was delicious and the location on a small side street off of busy Ventura Blvd., offered a lovely quiet small restaurant perfect for conversation. It is close to the CPK on Ventura Blvd, in Tarzana. Leisurely and relaxing. Will definitely come again.

Gave a Groupon gift to my daughter for 4 course meal for 2. Both she and her roomie loved the food, but were treated rudely by the waiter throughout the meal ("like we just came from Walmart via a trailer park"). They were very nicely dressed and have eaten in fine dining restaurants around the globe. Both had a rough couple of weeks at work and this dinner was supposed to be a stress reliever. I understand the issue of Groupons and fear of low tips. But the real point of the Groupon is to get new customers. Even though the food was nicely done, they will not return. A shame, since the chefs are certainly doing their part. There was only one other family in the restaurant during my daughter's entire stay. She tipped generously hoping to change the waiter's grumpy demeanor for the next guests.

This was our second visit to Le Sanglier, this time under my wife’s Groupon deal, a four-course dinner. We had been there maybe six months before and I had posted a very good review no doubt under the effects of a butter high. This time the experience was more sobering. The onion soup was just that, but the other choice was a dinner salad so the soup seemed the bold option. I went for the Quenelle fish dumpling and again this time it failed to impress me. But the disappointment came with the pork tenderloin which the first time I had enjoyed with the gusto of a paleo diet lover, which I am not. This time the nice cut of pork had been sliced in two and somehow breaded before cooked, the result to cut corners was fatal. The dessert was the best of the experience but I can get a good ice cream in many other places. Maybe this review is unfair because what I learned is that I don’t really like French cuisine, too rigid, old, too much cream, lack of originality, failure to evolve based on an arrogant tendency to live of the fame of the past .Or maybe it was just Le Sanglier.
