  • This would be my favorite restaurant in La Wantzenau. Having dined several times whilst on business trips over the past 5 years it never fails to delight. With a group of nine we enduldged with the fresh oyster platter. Freshly shucked by the pirate looking chef they were of outstanding quality. For main we continued with a combination of fish. Always a delight and an experience that always delivers. I will be back.

  • We visit this restaurant 2 or 3 times a year and the food is always good and the service is usually excellent. Unfortunately the last time we visited the service was very different. The restaurant was full with a wedding party so we were given a table in the rear dining room which was fine but then the evening began deteriorate. The service was very poor, we had to wait a very long time between courses - 70 minutes between the main course and dessert. ( One member of our groups dessert was forgotten and I had to go into the main restaurant and remind the waiter, when I asked the reason he said it was forgotten because they are busy with the wedding.........in my opinion not the answer I would have expected). There was then a problem with our bill, when I queried this with the waiter I found him quite rude even though it was a mistake on the waiters part. I love the food in this restaurant it's different and interesting but please bring back the old waiting staff !
