After eating at Darley's Restaurant (at $200 a head) the previous night and being a bit disappointed it was a refreshing change to have a simple but enjoyable Asian meal at a reasonable price. The venue itself was a bit bizarre however; stains on the dated pink sofas in the bar area, tables set out in the dining area in a strange configuration (as though the place was set up as a temporary restaurant in a conference room) and walls that really needed rendering and repainting. All this aside the service was friendly and attentive, the food was tasty, satisfying and appropriately priced and there were a few drinkable wines on the wine list (we're pretty picky with wine) that weren't overpriced either. The views of the gardens were also quite pleasant. I wouldn't take anybody there if you're trying to impress them, but if you feel like a low-key dinner with a few friends it's worth checking out.

the on tray off prawns were good liked the dipping sauce that went with it, the soup of the day wasn't that nice it was a parsnip & potato soup it was greasy , the stake was good but the minced mushrooms that went with it was strange, the other dish was the pan fried barramundi to this day we cant understand why it was rolled up & fried in a pan until overcooked on the outside & undercooked on the inside raw also the veg with the dishes were still raw. service was lacking we had to pour our own wine when the staff member brought it to the table & just left it wasn't busy & he didn't pour the wine for us to taste just plain lazy.
