Founded in 2002 in the heart of vibrant San Pedro, Big Nick's Pizza has built a great reputation throughout the Southland for both stunningly delicious pizza and quick, efficient delivery. However, there is so much more to Big Nick's than just awesome pizza! We've got a wide range of tasty Italian favorites like big, flaky calzones and mouth-watering pastas generously served with your choice from a variety of authentic Italian sauces.

  • Food here is great and the portions are good size. They do quite a bit of take-out business, as the LA Port is close buy. If you are not dining in, I highly recommend calling in ahead of time, to avoid the crowd. The calzones are HUGE, and the pizza is a good quality. The dining room is decorated with photos and art in the 1940's mobster style and there is a full bar to watch a sporting event if your order isn't ready upon arrival. The restaurant is located in a small strip mall, and parking can be an issue sometimes, but the food more than makes up for it. Lots of pizza places in San Pedro, and this is definitely one of the better ones.

  • I know this is just a local pizza but one would expect the basic business etiquette to be followed. My family likes a few items on their menu so to please them I must endure multiple issues just to appease the hunger. Ok where do I start…. Firstly we are computer savvy and like the ability to review the menu online and place our order. But to do this you have to use Grub Hub. Just this weekend after waiting for over an hour for our delivery, we called to restaurant and they informed order was never received. And if we still wanted the food it would be an additional hour. When questioned about canceling the order we were told to contact the online service we ordered it thru. Really???? We called Grub Hub and were told the order was sent and it was the restaurant issue. In addition on previous orders they delivered wrong items and deliver takes too long so you are reduced to pick it up. Or you’ll love this one they delivered to my sons house. How the heck this happens is a mistery because our online order show it correctly. As for the restaurant location that too is also a joke, and parking lot is small and policed by a rent a cop reserving parking spots for other business. Needless to say they have lost this customer.

  • We stayed in San Pedro on vacation to LA. This place was very close to our hotel. The pizza is really good. Perfect crust. We tried the BBQ chicken, The Long Shoreman, and the Hawaiian. Recommended.

  • I know, funny huh, a German claiming to know how to make manicotti, but seriously you should try mine. I don't chef for a restaurant but people don't usually complain about mine and if I get some that is bad I do complain. Clearly by the title of my review, I am not going to complain about the Manicotti. A little more on the salty side than most places which means it is prefect for me. I started with the Minestrone, very good. My wife ordered the Chicken Club and it was very good as well. All in all the food was very good and worth every penny. Now at the risk of getting a horsehead in my bed, I have to explain why I didn't give it five stars, Garlic bread - yes simply Garlic bread - It wasn't that it was bad, it was that it simply wasn't. They didn't give me the garlic bread. I have a few simple rules when I visit a restaurant, On soft drinks, don't let my glass get empty before checking if I want a refill, The glasses at Big Nicks are BIG so they didn't have to offer a refill, and one other rule is give me everything the menu says I am supposed to get, the menu said I get Garlic Bread with the Manicotti and it didn't come with Garlic Bread.
