  • We go here on a reasonably regular basis for takeaway or eat in. The food is good and reliable. It is your standard Chinese fare. The service is good. Not a problem for a local restaurant. They remember your regular visits.

  • Was invite to this place by friends in early on in 2015 but have driven past it for years. Since the first visit we have eaten in 5 or 6 times and again last friday. From the moment you walk in, it is like a time capsule from the 70's & 80's before any other Asian cuisines were easily available in Australia. For me it takes me back to my childhood. When you are first seated you are given complimentry spring rolls and prawn chips to munch on while deciding on the dishes to order, a simple but nice touch. We have tried many dishes and the food is simply outsanding if you are looking for original western chinese food. I am yet to get a bad or average dish. All prices are very reasonable. The atmosphere could do with a little light music but that would have to be my 1 and only suggestion. Everytime the service has been friendly and effecient, and all wait staff and owners are especially great with entertaining the kids from 3 and up. Engaging the kids in the food choices (just for fun) and providing colouring in tables etc. (Take away is just as good) Overall a great place and well worth the visit. I just hope they don't plan on updating the decor as its fun stepping back in time once in a while. Enjoy!

  • Old restaurant, New Owners the Icon lives on. This Berowra icon of 30 plus year has a new owner. Un be known to me the new owner is Sue from the Marigold Chinese Tamworth were we had eaten on our travels over the years. What a pleasure to now have their delicious, fantastic home cooked Chinese food on our door step. The food was consistently fresh, tasty and enjoyable with country size meal servings. Surroundings are pleasant, roomy thus making for an enjoyable dinning experience. Meal very reasonably priced. Highly recommend.
