  • I Live local and always wanted to come try this place. So pleased that we did! Went with some good friends took a nice bottle of wine (it's BYO). We had beef dumplings, an amazing warm eggplant dish, the potato garlic naan (really delicious) and a few others including a chicken dish with a super size me Naan for dipping, with yoghurt sauce YUM!!!. We were absolutely stuffed at the end and finished with a beautiful green tea with cardamon. Highly recommend this place and the prices are very reasonable! I'm going to be a regular!

  • If in Brisbane, you must try the Bamiyan restaurant on Bennetts Road, Camp Hill. The cuisine is from Afghanistan and it was the best food I've had for a long time. The combination of flavours and spices was refreshingly different and to be honest, the naan bread was the best I've ever tasted. We tried lamb, chicken and chick peas - all were delicious. We all agreed however, that the beef dumplings was the best dish. Make sure you book ahead as it was popular.

  • We were hankering for something different from the usual Asian, Greek, Italian and Indian restaurants all over the 'burbs. My daughter suggested we try this restaurant located on Bennetts Road. Not really sure what afghan cuisine would be like, we thought, yes let's be adventurous. Wow, wow, wow, so glad we went! The place was absolutely buzzing on Friday night and we were so thankful they found us an inside table when we rang an hour before to make a reservation. Service was friendly, polite and obliging. What a pleasant surprise it was when our orders came out quickly despite being such a busy night. And boy, when they said the curries were served with naan bread, be warned, they are the biggest naans I've had in my life and sooo tasty! I could have just eaten the naan on its own. Our family of 5 had melt-in-your-mouth lamb curry, a sweet chicken curry, two types of lamb kebabs and a heavenly eggplant dish, oh my lord, even with 3 boys and hungry stomachs we couldn't fit it all in. Did I say the naans were huge? At 15 x 45cm, they were gigantic! We made the mistake of ordering an extra one (at $3.50 it was a steal) as we thought it would be like the usual small ones we get in Indian restaurants, we ended up with 3 of these lovely gigantic naans piled on our table! All the dishes were very flavoursome, nicely spiced and aromatic. Not that hot too, thank goodness! When we paid the bill, we were pleasantly surprised that it only came to $125.00 for 5 of us, wow, so much food for that price! We're definitely coming back. So glad we were in the mood for a change tonight, this restaurant was such a delicious discovery in the suburbs. (Ps this place is BYO, no corkage, no wonder it's popular! Having said that, its popularity means that the noise level can be high when it is full of happy and satisfied diners enjoying their meals...). (Pps since our first visit to this restaurant, my daughter and her fiance has been back there several times for dinner and take-aways. Goes

  • This gem of a restaurant has been in operation for 2 years and it's the most delicious Middle Eastern food I have had in Brisbane. Their Katoori chicken is to die for, even better than the chicken curry, which was also excellent. I don't eat lamb, but under sufferance I tried a bit of lamb from a friend and guess what? I'm a convert to lamb now. The service is excellent, the owners and family are there all the time. I don't know how they manage to get the food out so soon and perfectly seasoned and garnished; yes, I even had a fresh salad with lovely different dressings... I'm coming back again and again and again until I exhaust the menu... which is big.
