Just went to The Duchess yesterday after a long time between visits. Menu was the same. Ordered what I normally have - the breakfast of champignons.. It was not the same.. Over powered with blue cheese and not tasty at all.. As I was picking through it, I noticed a long black hair in my food (my hair is blonde), with no apology from the new owners, just coffees on the house (I didn't even drink a coffee, my husband did) and the offer of eggs on toast- at that point I had lost my appetite. I understand these things happen, but as I did not eat the meal, I am unsure why I had to pay for it..
