First time for me at a Red Rooster and somewhat of a disappointment. Yes, the place was clean, efficient, staff was friendly. The chicken was absolutely tasteless. It was like chewing Tissue paper. No spices, absolutely no flavour. A great let down as it was my first time at a Red Rooster. Yes, the stuffing did add a tinge of savoury flavour but I personally hate stuffing. The chicken was moist and cooked to perfection nut NO FLAVOUR !!!!!!

I went to get a rooster roll last week, when I got there the car in front of me started backing up as I pulled up. I was 3rd in line. When I ordered, the lady told me the machines were down but they can still take orders, pfft. 15 minutes later the car which had been waiting at the window for as long as I was there took off obviously angry, the car in front of me done the same and I followed after being stuck there ten minutes longer than planned. We both went straight through and around to KFC. On my way back (5 mins later) I seen the drivethru line going out the driveway... at least 6 cars were trapped with no option but to wait for the line to move. Be HONEST and tell customers when you CANT serve them. You may be able to TAKE orders but you certainly couldn't fill them!!! That's 15 minutes of my life i wont get back...

Great service! food was good also.Made us like red rooster again! Resturant was nice and clean too. Food is much healthier than other takeaways!

Just called into The Rooster Truckstop at Penrith, Cumbria. The previous two posters weren't too impressed. I'm on a motorcycle tour. This seemed the ideal place to call in, there were several other motorcyclists already there and a good few commercial drivers. I had a 6 piece breakfast (all day breakfast) for £3.50 and a mug of good strong tea for 95p. If that was the 6 piece then I'd hate to tackle the larger breakfasts they must be a big plateful. My 6 piece (genorous portions) more than filled me up. It's not a hideously overpriced motorway service station, it's not some fancy coffee shop, it's a roadhouse, it's clean but functional. Leave your airs and graces at the door and accept it for what it is, and get stuck in to some well cooked wholesome food. Oh by the way, they also have quite an extensive menu to cater for all tastes.
