I had to do some things in the area with my 4 yo daughter so I thought I'd treat ourselves to lunch out. There was no one in the restaurant and we were served by the chef. I ordered pancakes for my daughter and the chef said she could have side serve for half the price which was nice as there was no way she would eat 4. I had the Angus burger off the $10 lunch specials which was a bland beef patty, small amount of tasteless aioli and a fair bit of fresh tomato and spinach. The chips were ordinary and a bit overcooked. I tasted my daughters pancakes they were pretty average and the butter was not whipped as on the menu. Didn't bother staying for coffee or milkshakes. No one came back to check on us anyway. No music just as silence as no one in here so my daughter and I sang kids songs. Wouldn't come back. Wish we'd had maccas instead

Was looking for a coffee on a Sunday afternoon prior to driving back to Sydney. The coffee here was great and served quickly. Did not have a wood fired pizza but did watch one being made - looked great and will try one next time we are in Picton.

Sorry to rate as poor but that is what it is. I have been here four times now and here are my experiences: Male Manager/Owner has a terrible manner and makes you feel awkward and uneasy as if you are a pain just by being there. I've also had this experience with a younger male there who walked up to our table and said "Are you gonna order something?" with a rude tone. I was shocked and put off straight away as I immediately felt unwelcome. The lady chef is always pleasant though. I came back a further 3 times despite the terrible customer service because the food was quite good and they often had great specials displayed ($10 meals etc..) But on my last visit, the food was average at best, service again terrible so I've given up on them until I see or hear that they have some new employees in the service area. The place looks nice and cosy, but there is hardly ever anyone in there and that coupled with the rude unwelcoming attitude, does not make it enticing at all.
