  • When I lived in Lakeland we would eat at Roy's on special occasions and we always loved it. I have been telling my Daughter-in-Law about our visits for11 years so I brought her when we visited Orlando. She said it did not disappoint!!! The food was great and so was the service. I wish we had a Roy's where I live now . I had the chocolate soufflé and it was Amazing as always!

  • With so many restaurants to choose from on restaurant row, we never seemed to make it to Roy's before last week. I'm so glad the hubby chose it for our anniversary dinner. We went on a Wednesday night so there was ample parking and the restaurant wasn't that busy. The service was great and the food was even better! I ordered the Roy's trio (salmon/mahimahi/mysoyaki) it was very good but my husband's dish was so much better! He ordered the short ribs and my goodness were they tender and delicious! The potatoes and broccolini his came with was also delicious. I was disappointed in the side I chose to pair with my fish. The crab fried rice was not fried but rather dry and bland, not even soy sauce helped. We had the complimentary chocolate soufflé for dessert as it was our anniversary. We almost passed it up as we were both stuffed. It was also good just very rich. We will definitely return!

  • We went to Roy's because I was hankering for a good steak. I was not disappointed in the steak. It was everything you could want in a ribeye, marbled, juicy and delicious! However, I was extremely surprised and disappointed in the lobster bisque. While the soup base was flavored nicely, the meat was crunchy and tasted like chicken. Not quite what you expect in a lobster bisque. It clearly wasn't lobster so I was curious what it was. When the manager stooped by our table to ask us how our meal was, I expressed my concern and asked what was in the lobster bisque. Imagine my surprise when he named some odd fish instead of lobster! (Unfortunately, I can't remember what type of fish). He explained the soup base was lobster. When you eat at a fine establishment like Charley's you don't expect them to cut corners like substituting another fish for lobster, even in a bisque. Yet, now that's the thing I most remember about my experience at Charley's That's really too bad. Great steak, good service, bad lobster bisque.

  • The hubs and I live in Orlando and I have to say Roy's is our very favorite restaurant currently. The freshest fish and fantastic, jovial service. We are fish and seafood lovers and Roy's never disappoints. Side dishes are great as listed but you can also request a side of the Creamy Jasmine Rice with your entrée (it comes with a couple). I don't know what voodoo they use preparing this rice but it's delish. My husband talks about their Sea Scallops every place we go. They do know how to make them with perfection at Roys. Pineapple Upside Down Cake... Best. Dessert. EVER!!
