Our first visit to this new establishment having been regulars to La Scala. We were not attracted by their regular emails as they dropped the birthday offers of their predecessor. What attracted us was the Moss Wood wine tasting. We were not dissappointed. Commencimg with canapés and Moss Wood Semillion in the newly created upstairs function room and then proceeding down to dining room. They were extremely generous with the wine. In fact we were served six different and excellent Moss Wood varieties, plus top ups! (We suffered the next day). The wine maker commented on each variety. There was a set menu which we could not fault. The owners of LB have done an excellent refurb, coming from The Newport Arms. Soon a third level above the pub will be completed offering a roof terrace bar. Very pressive and we will return to try the ala carte.

Im a paddington local and this venue WAS always a favourite of mine. They use to have great staff, arguably the best in the area, they use to have good young managers that always had time to come chat to the customers and they use to have good food and it use to be busy. Its fair to say thats all changed now. Some Staff are friendly don't get me wrong but when you get so called managers smoking out the front of the venue ALL THE TIME and not taking any time to see how the actual venue is going and the new owners coming in and changing all the food. I really want this venue to succeed but in the competitive paddington area this pub comes in a distant last. If i have to be specific about a visit, it was my last visit ill ever have there and it was 3 weeks ago. Food took 45 minutes on a saturday night when there were no more than 10 people in the venue. Manager out the front smoking. 2 different sounds on in the main bar, one music and one was what was on the tv. Goodluck controlling AFL season, couldn't even navigate an Aleague game

Hugh screens and great pub atmosphere; plenty of bar food choice and moderately priced. Just near to the Sydney Football Stadium and the Sydney Cricket Ground for a pre or post game drink.

Went with friends. They ordered and were finished by the time ours came. Only vegetarian option was a veggie jaffel. Seriously. It was 2 pieces of bread made in a jaffel toaster. For $18!!!! My burger was meant to be in a lettuce wrap. Gluten free. It wasn't. Not sure how an order of one sandwich and one lettuce burger could go wrong. Funnily. The staff said the restaurant was bad. Seemed they'd given up after an influx of people earlier. My burger was ok. The rest of the group weren't impressed at all. Just to add $18 special for their 'favourites'. Most favourites were under $18 to start. Partners jaffel was and many others. Maybe consider $15 specials, and more vegetarian food. Grill'd have an excellent choice.
