  • This is my second review of Chelsea. My first was positive but this one is not. Overall the service was a bit under par and the food uninspiring and unimaginative. They boast that they have a new menu but quite frankly it looks as though they have used the same ingredients and just moved them around between the dishes. At the start the waitress took umbrage at the fact that the two of us sat a table for 4 which we did because we had to sit outside and there was a cold wind blowing. She could hardly hide her displeasure. My wife ordered the scrambled eggs which she said was quite tasty. I ordered the toasty with a feta hash cake on the side. If I hadn't ordered the hash the round disc of a flat ordinary looking sandwich would have been quite lonely on the plate as there was not the slightest bit of garnish. The toasty was described as having ham (which it did) and vintage cheese (which it might have but it was very difficult to find it). The ham was processed and not anything special. If this meal was prepared by a chef they should be ashamed of themselves. We have noticed the overall standard continually decline over recent visits and this will now be our final visit unless they make significant changes. Sad really as they almost have a monopoly on weekend breakfast for movie goers which could be lucrative.
