  • An unprepossessing street frontage with their takeaway section as the entrance, the restaurant itself has no pretensions to mood or atmosphere. 'Clean and stark' describes the decor. We were immediately greeted by a smiling waitress and seated. The menus were extensive and to us, who were novices on some of the more specialty South Indian and Sri Lankan dishes, a little confusing. We asked the waitress for some help and we ended up with a lamb dosa (giant crispy pancake) which came with some lovely condiments. We also ordered a beef vindaloo, which was also accompanied by a cluster of beautiful chutneys, a raita and dahl. Every bowl of condiments was delicious in itself and nothing was wasted between the two of us. The waitress assured us that we had ordered enough (a refreshing change in itself) and she was right. We cam away very satisfied and less than $30 lighter. Although we live half an hour away,this will become one of our regular eateries. Next time we will bring a tribe of people so that we can taste more dishes!

  • We got a takeaway which did not disappoint. Excellent vadas, sambar & chutney, string hoppers were delicious but could do with a bit more chicken in the serving. Great fish cakes & lamb rolls. Idlis light & fluffy. Good prices too!

  • food wise we have never been disappointed, price is doable on a budget, good variety on the menu, wonderful flavours, always fresh, and tasty

  • I tend to avoid Indian/Sri Lankan food but venture here about once a year. On my last visit I sensed that they had changed a few things (perhaps trying harder/maybe a less authentic flavor?). Always get a mix of their entrees and go ape over their coconut chilli sauce!!! The fish cake and lamb roll are not the best. The aloo boondi or something is good, as are the samosa and donuts and lentil cakes. I am not a fan of the seafood thali/banana leaf (second Sunday of the month) but enjoy the veg one. The eggplant is good, veg biriyani, egg roti and butter chicken.
