  • I was taken there by two friends on a Wednesday night. The small restaurant, which my friends tell me, was once a butcher's shop, was packed. We made a booking then retired to the pub on the other corner. A table became free in less than half an hour. The service was friendly and efficient. There is a choice of about a dozen main courses which should be enough for most people. I ordered flathead fillets in batter, with chips. The meal arrived within fifteen minutes. The meal was a good size and plenty for me. I don't eat a lot of fish, but I do like flathead. The cramped space is part of the restaurant's charm and I just have one quibble-the high stools! They are not the most comfortable, but then again this is not the sort of place where you would linger for hours. I recommend to anyone who is into fish and the prices are very reasonable.

  • Basic and tasty - what more could one want!? The shop is small but busy and always has a good vibe. Booze readily available from the pub next door (don't foget to return the glasses!). Really you can't go wrong for those nights where you'd quite like fish but really can't be bothered cooking. Lovely.

  • It is not a setting for 5 hats or 5 stars or whatever but it is a funky urban and yes small place to eat some great (and different) seafood. Sitting on stools and small cocktail tables, or up at the servery, the waiter / err chef makes you feel very comfortable and armed with details of the menu can guide you to what you really like in seafood. Very reasonably priced mains for what arrives and I will definitely be back. As its small you may struggle to get in but they apparently get you from the pub next door but it does mean you may feel a little rushed when you do sit down. .
