3 cabinet picks & 2 uncooked meals off the menu. And they took 50min to deliver, 20minutes after a reminder & and error correction. Not so much as an apology & very average food. We'll be back, the ice cream can be stuffed up & the coffee is usually pretty good.

Arrived for brunch with family,food cabinets basically empty, only had a breakfast menu available, ranging from $18-$20, instead only got a pot of tea and mocha, which cost top dollar and no sugar provided, there was a delay in eftpos payment as someone was on the phone outside. Not likely to return

My husband and I visited on a lazy Saturday afternoon. There were about 5 people working behind the counter and a table of six seated ahead of us. Starving, we ordered the burgers and chose a small four-top table near the couch area. We had previously enjoyed their outdoor patio area that seats about 12-18, but having been outside all morning we were happy to be indoors. Unfortunately, it took over 45 minutes for our burgers to be delivered to us without even the slightest remorse from the staff. I wanted to hate the burger for that reason, but it was seriously delicious; served with beetroot and a fried egg as well as some mixed greens on the bun. They have a cute little lolly shop next door and also serve cabinet options as well. Being one of 2 food options in Diamond Harbor, I would eat here again, but maybe I'll order something that should come out a bit faster.

First, two disclaimers: 1) we visited on a holiday weekend, and the establishment was very busy, and 2) we ordered from the takeaway menu and did not eat a sit-down meal. We each ordered one fish (described on the menu as whiting) and one serving of chips. We were told that the food would be ready "in five minutes". We were quite happy to wait longer, but after twenty minutes we asked and were told our food would be ready "in a minute". Another request for information ten minutes later (half an hour after ordering) also resulted in an assurance that the food would be ready "in a minute". It was not until nearly forty minutes after ordering that the food was ready. It was genuinely awful. The chips were reasonably priced, at $3 per serving of a pottle three-quarters full of shoestring fries, but they were cold and slathered in an unpleasant, congealed tomato sauce that we had specifically asked them not to add. The fish, on the other hand, were simply the worst food that any of us have ever eaten. They were not whiting, and were obviously from a packet of frozen fish. At $4 each, the price was pretty steep for what was actually provided. The worst thing was that they were literally swimming in grease. The bag they were handed to us in was literally dripping with fat. They had obviously been cooked very, very quickly, at very high temperature, as what passed for the batter was almost burned, but the fish was cold. (The centre of one the fillets was still frozen). One member of our party very nearly vomited - that's how unpleasant the couple of bites we each ate was. To take away the taste, we ordered an ice-cream each, and I can actually recommend these. They were quite generous for a one-scoop size and the ice-cream was a premium brand called Killinchy Gold and very delicious. The waffle cones they were served in were very nice too. This cafe may well offer nice sit-down meals and may provide a better take away service on a less busy day, but our experience was awful
