Overall the experience was very pleasant from start to finish. Waiter dropped a joke to break the ice. Service was generally fast, basically in and out of the restaurant after a 3 course meal in 90 mins. We tried a wide variety of entrees, mains and dessert, overall, nothing to complain about, everything was fresh and every was good. Big fan of the fusilli spanner crab dish, maccroni pigs head and egg yolk and the linguine, black garlic, burnt chilli. Dessert was ok, nothing special. Only small complaint, it the seating, we were in the back corner, and it was a little cramped, but nothing major, just a bit cozy.

Thank god for Macca's drive through. Left hungry... Extremely small portions $ 9 for Melbourne bitter please! The truffle is not worth it

My partner and I were here to celebrate on a Friday night and it felt like we were sitting in a friends (upmarket) lounge room as the staff were so friendly - loved them. Cam who greeted us was so welcoming and all the waiters were fantastic. The sommelier convinced us to get some really interesting drinks choices that we normally wouldn't have which was so refreshing when we would have otherwise just had our standard Shiraz. Loved the hip hop vibes too - and sitting in the window for people watching. And the food... My god it was brilliant. So different and well thought out. We had the baloney sandwich which sounded novel but I could probably skip next time to be honest. The burrata was a stand out - juicy tasty fresh massive ball of cheese and fig kind of chutney - what's not to love! The octopus was beautiful and tender as well, really great with a nice charred edge. For mains we had the linguine with black garlic which was deadset like a fancy bowl of Mi Goreng (which was a negative for me but a massive positive for my partner!). The other two mains were hard to fault and impossible to choose a favourite; the confit duck pasta and the pigs head macaroni. Both lip smackingly moreish. All that sounds like loads of food but for a 2.5hr sitting and with no dessert and small portions it was actually perfect. The bill seemed reasonable and we would recommend this place to anyone. One of the more fun and interesting restaurants that we've been to recently, and refreshingly not pretentious.

I went with a group and like a lot of places a 10% surcharge was added to tables over 6. ?? Ok set menu only as it was a table over 6. A set time to be in and out ! Quite normal on busy nights in sydney at the better places. I enjoyed every thing I ate, Polony rolls very nice but lacking ? So close to great! Black garlic pasta and pigs head pasta amazing A couple of the other courses were a bit hmm wanting? A local said cheap cuts dressed up! There needed a signature dish, it was probably the pigs head pasta but the small pieces could have been anything really. There was enough to eat but my other diners thought a sweet at the end might have been better than 4 pasta. With half a bottle of wine left and a little time we thought a little cheese, sadly none. We were steered to a most lovely red wine but not asking the price was a costly choice. You would think you might be warned that is a $100 + 10 % Not wanting put people off but the choice of music and the volume made it hard to hear each other, maybe room out the back may have been better for big tables. Service was great
