  • By the time you read this the Adriatic is no more. It's owner put it on the market expecting it to take some months to sell and sold it so quickly the staff had only two weeks notice of closure. Our evening was bizarre as we were there on it's penultimate trading night. It was a case of asking what was available on the menu - no potatoes etc etc! The owner held court in the corner with 4 female friends - no change there! He's now off to Florida to live. Given how cold and wet it was that niight he's made a wise choice. The staff have been given to understand that it will remain a restaurant - so worth keeping an eye on the site.

  • My husband, son and I visited the Adriatic Café recently for the first time and enjoyed the wonderful food and service. We ordered shopska salads (tomato, cucumber, onion and feta) and plates of Chevapchichi (rolled pork and beef sausages). Everything was very tasty in true Balkan fashion. We will definitely go back. The restaurant has a very nice ambiance. The menu has a very nice variety of entrees and small plates. Everyone is very friendly and I would recommend this restaurant to anyone who would like to have a nice Adriatic dining experience.

  • My wife, daughter and I were looking for another restaurant on Clark and had passed it. When we went to turn around, we saw Adriatic and my wife suggested we dine here instead. I was reluctant, but I'm very glad we did. First, the ambiance was very nice. We were taken past their large, and at that time empty, dining room to a semi-outdoor patio (they also have an outdoor patio). It's prominent feature was a nice koi and turtle pond with a burbling waterfall rock wall decorated with abundant foliage ... very relaxing. The service was friendly, informative and polite, if a bit slow. The food was outstanding! They serve a variety of dishes from the Adriatic region. My daughter had the karadjordjeva schnitzel ... fried pork tenderloin stuffed with smoked meats and regional cheese ... delicious! I had the Adriatic Chicken which was chicken tenderloin stuffed with ham and cheese and wrapped in bacon. The flavors were wonderful and the chicken was moist and tender. My wife said her lamb chops were also very good. I would strongly recommend this great local place for something excellent and out of the ordinary.

  • Love this place - has a very interesting menu, and the food is quite tasty. Always fast and friendly service. Seafood and meat prepared very well. Try the sangria.
