  • Hope this helps! Need a letter from your senator to dine here. I collected mine from the Richard Russell Bldg with tunnel access to the Dining Room. (fun to see the Senate offices and commitee rooms). Need a tie for gentlemen. The food was delicious and so affordable. Great service, Of course, bean soup is divine!

  • If you are ever invited by your Senator to have lunch at the Senate Dining Room DO IT. This was a once in a lifetime experience. Because of 'where' we were I couldn't tell you much about the food, I remember the soup was great and I think I had a chicken salad. :-) No cameras, need to be dressed fore the occasion (men in suites), and no gawking allowed. :-) It was a great experience.

  • Had the opportunity to dine here. No pictures allowed! The bean soup is a traditions so I had to try it. It was very good and hearty. Would have enjoyed this on a cold day. Got to see a few senators while visiting. Everyone dined and did not pay much attention to one another. The dress code is suit and tie. Food was good as was the service. It was a very cool experience to be able to say that you dined here!

  • You have to have an appointment time/ invite to eat here unless you are a senator. We felt these times are given out when no one else is eating there so the room is fairly empty.......... Prices are very high, food not so great nor were the choices great. Our bill was over $80.00 for 2 cheesburgers one chicken salad and another snadwich. It is more a place to eat so you can say you did it rather than a place to eat for good food. Would not return again but our son raved about the beef in his burger.
