We reserved the Ristotram for a private group dinner while in Rome on business. Our group was global from many different countries and it was a great way to see the city while dining. The staff and service during the dinner trip were very kind and courteous. There was plenty of food and the night was very well enjoyed by our entire group. I recommend the Ristotram for a unique and fun team building, group dinner and special event.

Booking this ristotram proved very difficult with emails going backwards and forwards until the Saturday 9th May was secured for myself and my wife. Boarding was at the Porta Maggiore which we attended at the appointed time of 1930. After waiting round for over a hour we left for a local restaurant. On arriving back home in the UK we found 2 emails, the first saying the event was cancelled and rearranged for the next evening. The second saying the rearrangement had been cancelled for lack of numbers! Neither email was of any use as we had no access to emails whilst on holiday. I have had no response from the Company as to why they couldn't send a representative to advise us and other customers left in the dark to Porta Maggiore and am still awaiting a refund some one month after the event. All very disappointing as this was a significant birthday treat.

On the last day of october i saw the ristotram by accident on the internet and it still had places for the day after, november the first. I booked and payed in advance on the website. Unfortenately the site was only in Italian, but someone was helpfull helping me with the translations. However it was better to offer a touristic-friendly English website as well. I payed with creditcard on Paypall. We were expected at 8:30PM at Piazza Maggiore. We arrived at 8:15PM. A few minutes later an old 1926-built fouraxle tram arrived with 5 man staff and well dressed tables. The tram had a capacity for 30 guests and was almost full with 29 guests. We were assigned to our tables and welcomed with a nice glass of prosecco and a bottle of water, with some chips. After that, there was unlimited white or red wine. After the courses, there was coffee and limoncello. The courses where: - selection of salami, cheese and vegetables - gnoccetti - lasagnette - gagritaned potatoes with pot roasted beef - cake Staff: 2x male waiters, very polite and act like it was a five star restaurant 1x chef 1x female singer 1x tramdriver The food was ok, it was actually nice but pre-cooked so had the be re-heated in the very small kitchen of the tram only, next to the small toilet. Route was nice,it is the entire tramway line 3 Maggiore - Thorwaldsen - Maggiore - Piramide - Maggiore, with some walk and smoke stops (one of them next to the Colosseum). It was a great experience, giving the fact that almost all other restaurants in the world are static. Some of the stops are a little bit too long. It was even better if some of the stops were shorter and the experience took 2,5 hours instead of the three now. However, a must do if you visit Rome
