Horrible. Just awful We took a pizza piece and a diet coke for lunch. First, we get mocked for not taking wine with out lunch. "in Italy you should drink wine. Why you only want the american wine?" The pizza tasted like old bread and the topping was dried up. It wasn't very warm. Even worse was the check. 12 euro's for a small sized piece of pizza, that was probably passed expiration date. 6 euro for a diet coke. Never again...

Across the Vatican Museum, Rome. I popped in for a quick bite, no time for proper lunch: had a museum tour to attend after. I ordered a panini and a freshly squeezed orange juice. Waiters were very friendly, eager to please. Service sharp. The order arrived: juice was mixed with water. The pannini was bland, uninteresting, tasteless. Worst of all, the check: 6 euros for the juice, 8 euros for the panini. A total rip-off. I complained to the manager - a full of airs and a attitude bloke, with a ghastly "K" tatooed on his neck: "you don't like it? Go somewhere else." said to me. It was a huge mistake on my part. Next time I'm in a hurry, I will make sure i?m more careful. After all Rome has plenty of fine unexpensive restaurants to choose from.
