  • I have tried almost all japanese restaurants in Friedrichschain and I think this is the best in the area, although that does not mean it is an excellent restaurant, as it is just an average place. There is an advantage when going in a group, as you can order from the vietnamese restaurant next door and they will bring the food from there, in case someone does not like japanese food.

  • Small but nice place in Friedrichshain. Average selection of plates, but sushi/maki quality was very good. The same cannot be said for what they call "salads" which are basically just a sprinkle of vegetables over some main ingredient (in our case a single, big block of sliced tofu).

  • Been here many times. Our first choice when it comes to sushi. Friendly and smiley staff. And one big pluss is the fact that you can order from the the thai restaurant called "Lemongrass" which lies next door to "Onsen". Both places have delicious food and we have never left unsatisfied.
