  • If you ever played tea party as a child and loved imagining all the amazing food and tea you would serve your guests, that place has come to life! Adonia is a charming tea house and has been my favorite place for lunch for many years. This tea house is quaint and just like a charming old English Tea House. The atmosphere is always great and the delicate taste of everything they have to offer is out of this world. The ingredients are always fresh and all of their salads and sandwiches are prepared with care and always have an artistic approach to how they are plated. One of my personal favorites is the Lobster Bisque! Their signature high-tea towers compliment their large selection of teas and make the experience of being there feel like is very special and picturesque, almost like a dream. Being at Adonia feels like you are part of a whimsical movie and the idea of going back into the real world after your delightful experience here always is a bit saddening... However, it always gets me excited to plan my next outing to my favorite place. Thank you Ping for your amazing creations and consistent hard work! You have created such a wonderful place with delicious and gorgeous food that sincerely brings me happiness every time I come in.

  • Since going gluten free I had not been back to Adonia, one of my all time favorite places to go for High Tea. I was so pleased to hear that they offered a gluten free one, and was there today with a friend. The décor and ambience at Adonia is lovely, conducive to relaxing and good conversation with friends. If there is just two of you, try to reserve one of the tables for two at the front of the shop. My friend had the classic High Tea and myself the gluten free option. Both of us were presented with fabulous food and the only reason I did not give an 'excellent' rating was because I did not get a scone. A scone is a classic part of a high tea and while I certainly did not miss out in any way in the quantity/quality of the food I was served, missed it greatly in the fact that I was out for High Tea and a scone is a 'must' (in my opinion!). The servers were very pleasant and helpful, frequently coming to refill our tea pots with hot water. Many places place a surcharge on the price for a gluten free high tea and they did not, a fact I very much appreciated. I am thrilled to again be able to have High Tea at one of my all time favorite places and for sure I will be back.
