餐厅介绍

位于京都特有的被称为“鳗鱼睡床”的狭长地带。从入口穿过胡同后进入玄关，一块块铺路石上还雕刻着京都街道的名称。将古老的酒藏改装成餐厅包间，环境充满京都风情。注重地产地销，食材都产自京都本地的丹波地区，还有绫部河北家的大米、伏见山田家和塚原丰田家的蔬菜等。村田土鸡味道和口感堪称一绝。

We were part of a professional tour of Kyoto and this was our assigned lunch. Everything was very outstanding!!! A few of us had some food allergies and the worked around them flawlessly. Each course was served and explain beautifully. Each dish was a work of art with the detail and design. I cannot say enough good bout his lunch!

Staying at the hotel Gimmond in Kyoto, this restaurant was recommended for lunch with an old friend. It was three blocks from the hotel, down a small street with an historic look. From the entrance on, we knew this was a special place. The attention to detail to get the setting right - warm, relaxing, meditative- was supported by staff who were gracious, warm and attentive. They appeared at the right time and then respected our time and space of intimate conversation. The food was absolutely wonderfully prepared with generous portions and a variety of selections. The picture window view of the lovely garden transported us to a serene private emotional state. There are many nice little restaurants that look like this in Japanese cities. I haven't been to them all - actually only a dozen or so, but this place is special.

Inaseya is a jewel. the place is delightfully organised, with a nice little garden, a main room with western-like seating facing the garden, cozy counters, private rooms. The speciality here is Tamba chicken, coming in many variations : fried, boiled, in a sort of shabu-shabu and even in sashimi. However, their sashimi are also impressive, with daily and seasonal wise choices. Last, but not least, their nihon-shu (sake) list is extensive and impressive. I went there several times and they keep surprising me with excellent finds, local or not, generously served. The staff is graceful and gracious, extremely helpful and friendly - recently, they hired a waitress who can speak a bit of english and printed an english menu.
