one of the pioneer restaurant in kuala lumpur. this is the most unite restaurant as they served chinese, malay and indian foods in the same restaurant. make sure you try the fried bee hoon and fried nasi goreng made by and old school uncle. the price is reasonable.

Eating in a nostalgic restaurant that's been here forever. It's not typically western but a cross between western and Chinese and the wait staff here looks like they have been here before the Japanese Occupation. Come here if not for anything just for the experience and history of the place.

This coffee shop seems to stay the way it used to be while the shops around it have undergone various stages of transformation. In the 70s, there were many types of shops in the same row along Jln TAR: electrical as well as book stores. Now most of them have been turned into shops selling clothes and linens besides a few book stores. The shop sells Indian dishes such as rojak, roti canai, fried noodles and mixed rice. In the afternoon, satay are sold too. Probably this is the nearest of such type of coffee shop to the shopping area of SOGO and Pertama Complex. As such, it is convenient to drop by for a glass of teh tarek after shopping nearby.

this coffee shop is located along jalan tuanku abdul rahman. this are the few of the last coffee shops left in Kuala Lumpur. It is run by a chinese man selling roti bakar (toasted bread) with butter and kaya half boil eggs. there is also a indian musim man selling rojak mee. the rojak is fresh and tasty. the sause is sweet and spicy. prices are all reasonable in this shop.
