  • khao soi is a great dish and very authentic and loved by thais and westerners. the prices are good and the restaurant is very clean. in jet jod rd not far from night bazar

  • An addict of this Northern Thai classic, I was very happy with the offering here. I had two bowls. The value for money is astounding, and also the coffee is to die for. Don't expect warm, friendly service though - this caters for the backpacker crowd too and it has rubbed off on the staff who don't engage easily

  • My Thai friend recommended me to try the Khao Soy (a type of spicy crispy noodle) and I managed to find that the stall selling this dish was very near to where i was lodging at. It's the best meal I had when I was here, I had it for breakfast the next morning. It is a little spicy, and you can choose from a variety of meat - fish, shrimp, chicken, etc. The staff and owner don't seem to speak English but you can always point on the menu. Very affordable too! The locals eat here. Must try when you're in Chiang Rai! They open from 7 am to 4 pm if i didn't remember wrongly.
