  • Good menu so lots of choice. Food delicious and service excellent.our favourites - Dim Sum, Crispy Duck, Hot and Sour Soup, they are all there. Equals the best chinese restaurants we have visited elsewhere. Centrally located, do try it!

  • Called in without a booking and was offered a table to a certain time. I asked what beggar's chicken was and our server explained and said it was a house speciality, so I ordered it and was not disappointed - it was delicious! My husband enjoyed his food too. If we'd been staying longer in the town we would have visited again.

  • Driving down A1, staying near Alnwick for a competition, found Yan's on Google, called ahead, ordered a takeaway without the aid of a menu! and then called in to collect. The order arrived at the right time, it travelled well for the next 10 minutes, I have to say, absolutely delicious food (I'm fairly picky about Chinese curries, my husband the same re deep fried shredded beef) both amongst the best we've had, wish we lived closer! The restaurant itself was very busy, friendly welcoming staff.

  • This was recommended to us. All started well with professional, friendly service in a clean atmosphere. Our starter of crispy duck was fine but the main course was one of the worst we have ever been served. Completely tasteless with soft mushy chicken. We told the waiter who said he would mention it to the chef! No more was heard. So disappointing. Every other meal in restaurants in Alnwick have been excellent.
