Conveniently situated opposite Swansea Bay & the childrens paddling pool and adjacent to the beautiful Clyne Gardens and Park with free parking. Five of us had lunch there. There was both a set menu, an a la carte and the chef's specilas. We all chose off the a la carte menu and were impressed by the high quality of the food, the friendly attentive staff and pleasant surroundings. My mixed fish (salmon, sea bass, cod & king prawns served with a small jug of hollandaise sauce, green beans and chips (not frozen) were delicious. There was a large choice on the menu to suit everyone and all our meals, including desserts were well presented. I opted for the cheese board which was brie, cheddar and Danish blue, served with apple & sultana chutney, grapes and an assortment of biscuits. I would definitely recommend The Woodman.

Lovely meal out for fathers day .7 of us and all meals were lovely . Lovely waitress not too busy the staff seemed to be organised . Definately will be returning ☺

Went here for lunch yesterday. The service was fine (nice friendly waiter - Phil I think) but the food was really poor. I chose whitebait as a starter - it came in an oversized cup with about 10 (!) bits of whitebait in it and a small dip - no garnish, no bread, very plain. My companion had a prawn cocktail, which came in a teacup with a couple of lettuce leaves, a few prawns and a huge dollop of sauce - again no garnish but with bread, which was slightly stale. I hoped for a better main course, and what a disappointment! I had "paella" which was basically a bowl of Batchelors Savoury Rice with 3 tiny bits of chorizo and 4 pieces of chicken that must have come off a dwarf chicken as they were SO small. The 2 big prawns on top were definitely the best bit, as the whole dish had no seasoning whatsoever - and I was charged £12.99 for this!!! Such a rip-off for a small cereal bowl of tasteless packet food. My companions meal (Duck noodles) was also microscopic for a £12.99 charge with zero points for presentation and flavour. Such a shame, as the surroundings are pleasant and the service friendly and good. Sorry, we won't be back!!!
