I had Pad Thai and Singha beer at the restaurant. Staffs are friendly. probably family owned restaurant. Chickens are walking outside. How peaceful it is. The price is so reasonable. I would like to visit again.

Been going to this place for years and used to enjoy it but on a recent visit I was very disappointed. Wether the chef has changed, I dont know but the whole place has a lack lustre air about it and the staff dont seem to smile much. Unusual in Thailand which is known as the land of smiles! Food wasnt up to much either but there are several better beach side restaurants very close by so I wont be returning here

I try to write constructive reviews. However having spent 7 weeks on Samui in total and trying a vast array of eateries, this is the only place we've visited which made us ill, not just one of us but all four of us, each eating different dishes. Although Crystals have an amazing beach location, we found it to be run down and lacking in many ways; which surprised us, given the recommendations we'd had, to visit them. Two of us had meat dishes and two of us fish. The catch sits in an ice tray on the beach, from which you select your items. One of our choices was listed in the menu at 100 gms for 120 Baht - but when choosen and weighed in, they told us 140 Baht. We drew their attention to the menu price, to be told "oh thats an old menu". We paid 120 Baht. The food came in dribs and drabs, which drew the meal out, our beverages tasted very peculiar and unusually for Samui, the staff were not particularly friendly, nor was English a strong point. I honestly believe that others have had good meals here, as we've been told they did and I think with a some DIY, staff training, a thorough clean of the kitchen and overhaul of the kitchen practices, Crystals could be really good.
