  • We (a couple) had an amazing dinner at this tavern located in one of the small Moschato's streets one day in March. The owner of the place greeted us at the entrance and kindly ask to sit in the inside part of the restaurant in order not to get cold on the terrace. The interior as well as terrace were nicely decorated in the traditional way with vintage television, old fotos, musical instruments, different types of wooden chairs and even motorcycle. On the table instead of typical IKEA's plates, there were home-style pretty plates with flowers and golden margins. Old and contemporary Greek music gave additional colors to this place. The menu had all possible variations of dishes for very affordable prices. Because of having coupon, we were able to order anything for 24 euros for the price of 12 euros. We knew in advance that it won't be possible to finish so much food, but the desire to have a Greek feast didn't make us shy to order many dishes. Traditional Greek salad, gioulbasi (meat dish), little cheese pies, kalamarakia and golden fries served in the funny scoop appeared on our table soon after our order. Everything was very fresh and tasted on the highest level. Greek salad had juicy tomatoes, cucumbers and feta accompanied by flavorous olive oil. Gioulbasi meat was soft. Cheese pies melted in the mouth. Kalamarakia were tender and tasty. To be honest, this is the best Greek tavern that we ever had a chance to visit untill now even that we have been to many Greek islands and different areas of Athens. This restaurant has perfect combination of taste, prices and unforgettable home-style interior with very polite service. The treasure that we discovered in Moschato will add to our nostalgia of Greece, its friendly people, its rich culture and its delicious flavours while being abroad. And this feeling will make us to return to Greece with the first given possibility... and even earlier!
