  • Nice patio and view, food is alright drink menu is not bad. Service is good too. Check their specials for week days they are worth it! I mostly go out there for drinks on the patio or appetizers not so much the meals.

  • I have not had service this lacking for years - I'm usually lenient because people have off days but damn. It's like we were sitting in the forgotten section - others had the same lack of service. We sat on the patio and waited to order drinks. After ordering drinks it took a long time for the server to return with them and take our order. When I ordered my beer I had to show her on the menu what it was. We ordered an appie and two entrees. The appie never appeared. We ordered steak. Mine was overcooked and the side veggies came out cold. When our food arrived I have to flag someone down to ask for cutlery. My husband managed to order a second beer but she explained that a beer he did not order was not on tap and he had to explain what he wanted again as she was going to get him something completely different. She never stuck around long enough for me to order a second beverage. My husband wanted dessert and asked for the dessert menu. When the server eventually came back 20 minutes later she asked if there was anything else she could get us and he said the bill. The bill had the appie that never appeared so he sent it back. We didn't leave a tip and will not be back and I do not recommend this place. There was nothing remarkable about the food to redeem the service. Avoid.

  • We ate outside on a somewhat dingy day but felt comfortable with the active atmosphere, very attentive wait staff, and excellent food. The steak sandwich had the most incredibly tender beef and the accompanying side salad was very unique in it's ingredients and dressing. I will return, for sure!

  • My son loves ribs, so we searched Canmore for a place. We came upon The Wood Restaurant. We had a bit of a wait to get in as the patio was closed due to cooler weather. The patio looked great for June! Anyways, we ordered the starter Caesar salad and full rack of ribs with mashed potatoes which we split. The starter salad was huge, it was enough to share, very tasty. The ribs were a different story. I enjoyed them, but my son thought there was too much BBQ sauce. He also thought it was too spicy...:(. The service was great.
