  • Awesome pizza, thanks to the cafe's authentic pizza oven! Courteous service, delicious food, and great views of the stupa, especially at night.

  • Roadhouse in Boudha has a beautiful view over the Stupa, particularly at night where candles light up the view. The menu is VERY western, but quite mild. I would recommend eating here if you've found yourself sensitive to local food. The pizzas were reasonably good quality - great sizes for the price, so very good value for money, an extensive range, and if you eat on the top floor you can watch the cooks put your pizza together and fire it. The pastas are good as well, though several different items on the menu were unavailable every time we enquired, and we visited multiple times over a few weeks.

  • In the past couple of years, I had Lunch and Dinner at the Roadhouse at several occasions. Service has never been great, food was always excellent. Particular my last visit was disappointing ! In the evenings the light is so low, one can barely read the menu. Service has never been friendly, the waiters do just the absolute minimum. A "hello" is already too much to expect ! Don't expect a smile ! After I finished the meal, I wanted also an Espresso, but 2 of the waiters were chatting and playing on their phones, (which I could see from my table) They could not be bothered even having a look to it's customers. ( The Restaurant was almost empty) I waited too long in front of the empty plates, so I had to get up to ask one waiter for the bill. Service is sloppy at best, inattentive, and no waiter ever checks on its customer. No "goodbyes", no "thank you" when I left. I observed similar behaviors by the waitstaff on other tables. Unfriendly Staff all around. Considering the prices, service should be much better, but they don't care. Disappointing dinner !
