  • Spicy and authentic Thai food …at last! For those of us that love spicy food this is a great find. Of course Same Same caters for those palates that don’t like too much spice and there’s an extensive menu of traditional Thai food prepared with fresh ingredients by Thai cooks. The open kitchen means you see all the preparations right in front of you, the setting is very different and very interesting being part of an art galerie run by owner and restaurant host Peter Leen and his Thai partner Timy ( Apologies as I’m sure that’s misspelt ). Service is efficient yet casual and friendly making for a relaxed evening in lovely surroundings with great food……Don’t miss it if in the area, BUT be sure to book ahead, this place is regularly full and with good reason so don’t risk being disappointed.

  • Really nice Thai food, but the joy of this restaurant is the surroundings. An art gallery that serves great meals - what could be better. Only slight disappointment was the vegetarian option which used soya 'meat' rather than vegetables.

  • I enjoyed a meal at this Thai restaurant with 13 colleagues from work. It's both an art gallery and a restaurant and the restaurant could easily seat our large group. With the high ceiling and open kitchen there is quite a bustling atmosphere. Around the room you can view the interesting works of art and sculptures on display. Since we had a set meal pre-ordered for us I was not able to get a good look at the menu. However the various dishes I tried were prepared with fresh ingredients and were delicious, especially the fish curry and beef with oyster sauce. Service was friendly and efficient. I enjoyed my experience and I'd go back to this restaurant.

  • Service is friendly, the Thai food is made in the open kitchen with fresh ingredients, wine is well-chosen. Between the courses you can look around the gallery. The dining areas are spacious and have high ceilings, yet the ambience remains warm and cosy - "gezellig" as the Dutch say. As an integral part of the art gallery, the decor of paintings, sculptures and photos changes regularly - so you never eat twice in the same restaurant. "Same Same" it is not. If you like Thai food and modern art, you will love this restaurant.
