  • The food from Tuning Bar & Burger is good. The burgers are juicy and tasty and the fries well seasoned. But what makes this place truly special is the service. From the moment we arrived the made us feel welcome. We ordered the chimichurri and classic burgers, and the chicken strips as appetizer (don't judge us, we were hungry). While we waited, the waiter brought us a glass of aperitif, I think it was Palinka, it tasted really good. Beer selection is small but we liked what we had. The food came timely and cooked perfectly, even though they were busy. After the we finished, the waiter said "I have something for you, but it's going to take a few minutes, is that OK?"... we waited and he brought us a freshly baked chocolate molten cake with a scoop of vanilla ice-cream and it was delicious! Without him knowing, he was making our day really special because the day before it was my husband's birthday and our wedding anniversary. We told him that and he was really happy to hear that his gesture meant so much for us. When we were getting ready to leave, it started to rain and he insisted us to take an umbrella and said we could bring it back on the next day. I mean, when I say the service here is outstanding, is an understatement. They genuinely care about their guests and the burgers were great. Definitely is worth the visit.

  • A group of friends were heading out to the ruin bar fogashaz ruin bar and needed some grub. This place is literally next door on the corner. It has outside and indoor seating, we chose to eat outside on a lovely June's evening. Prices were good. Everyone raved about the wedges. The waiter was the best waiter we've had during our 10 day stay in Budapest - bravo sir. Completely shots of local gin was given..... The 50% alcoholic strength didn't agree with everyone mind you! We stayed till 00:08 and realised all the other tanks were packed up around us yet they weren't rude to kick us away! See the pic attached for a good idea of what you'd get here.

  • On a recent trip to Budapest I felt like changing things up a little bit and going for a burger. So I looked for the top ranked burger in the city. I often like to do this, in a search for the best burger in the world. The restaurant is very casual. I opted for the patio as it was a nice evening although there were seats inside as well. Service was friendly. The menu had burgers as well as a vegetarian option and a chicken option. You could also have fries, coleslaw and salad. Prices were not cheap but not too expensive either - this was priced well above fast food. When the burger arrived it looked good. The bun was a little tougher than I like and the meat not quite juicy enough but the burger was pretty good. I am surprised that this restaurant ranks in the top 15 in Budapest out of about 2300 restaurants and it probably doesn't deserve that ranking. In summary, service was nice and friendly, prices were alright and the burger was alright. It was nice to enjoy the burger but I don't have to go back.
