This caffe nero is one of the more interesting ones I have visited over recent times. Being in a raised glass circle in the lower precinct shopping centre, it is a very relaxed environment if you fancy a break from shopping - although small inside it is spacious and the tables are well spaced. It's a fascinating spot to sit and think about the world as it hurries around below you.

The coffee is really tasty, especially decaf Americano which definitely better than the others in town. The staff is friendly. The downside: no toilet provided in the cafe. Need to use those of the market (downstairs)

The café is set in the unusual setting of a circular glass-sided café looking down on the city’s lower precinct. Now a Caffe Nero, my first experience of this venue was as a Wimpy Bar in the early 70’s. Since then it has been host to several businesses and at one time was threatened with demolition. It was saved when English Heritage stepped in, saying it was a prime example of postwar development. The iconic round building was part of the original post-war precinct development in Coventry. Caffe Nero offers an excellent opportunity for a break from shopping, for just a drink or a light bite in addition. The cafe is quite busy and this can be daunting when first visiting, but don't worry, many of the customers are there to take away and there are usually seats available. The are also outside seats downstairs and as the precinct is covered, they can be used year round. I have used this location on a number of occasions and always found the service and the coffee very good.

This is a coffee shop what's round and kind of on a stick like a lolipop. But it's not a lolipop, it's really a coffee shop. The staff are always el excellento (that's Spainish for excellent) so I always smile at them and say nice things like "please" and "you have a lovely face" and they always smile back but they never tell me I have a lovely face because I'm not a good looking man, but I get by. The coffee is excellent, and the cakes are also excellent. I like chocolate cake, it's all chocolatey and I usually get a fork with it. They're better than spoons, aint they?! Well worth a visit, but do be advised that due to the round glass design, your conversations can be heard by others a little bit more than in other places. So when you tell your friend you don't like the person across from you's shoes or hair or hands, then they might hear you and want to slap you up a bit with their horrible, weird hands. And if you want to tell your bird she looks nice without losing gangsta points then you'd better do it through text.
