  • I was looking for good restaurants in downtown Decatur area..on such a sunny beautiful day...The Pinewood was the spot..Not crowded...Very nice atmosphere and music...Food was simply delicious...I preferred the turkey meatloaf..But that was Tuesday's Brunch item..However,I ordered the grilled chicken sandwich and my friend ordered the ritz crackers chicken with mashed potatoes and asparagus. ..All food was seasoned to perfection. .especially the potatoes ..had to get an order to go...The lemonade was homemade and simply refreshing and the cocktail call the porched punch awesome..I definitely suggest The Pinewood.

  • Just rediscovered The Pinewood, went there early on when it opened. One of the best bars in Decatur for sure. Had a ravioli dish recently that was excellent. The Pennicillin was excellent!!

  • The Pinewood is a great place for a night out. I went with my husband on my birthday and thought it was a great place for a cozy celebration, but it would be equally fun for a group of friends after work. The menu is inventive without being too far out, and it has a nice southern flair. The best part is that my birthday fell on a Wednesday when they offer half price whiskey cocktails. I would not ordinarily order a $10 drink, even on a special occasion, but two $5 drinks? I am all about that! In truth, the drinks are good enough to warrant the higher price tag, but at $5, you will want to try more than one! We have been twice, and the service has been friendly and helpful both times. I definitely recommend the Pinewood!

  • Tucked into the downtown of Decatur, GA, this restaurant had an interesting menu with many local foods prepared in unique ways. My daughter and I split two meals - trout on romaine, and a wild mushroom omelet with potato wedges uniquely made on site. The wait staff apologized for being overloaded but we didn't really experience that - the food came promptly and everyone pitched in to serve beverages.
