  • Starters, mains or desserts, Shabestan serves the best Iranian fare you can ask for. Most of the mains are served with flavoured rice. The kebabs are succulent and delicately spiced. No strong taste on the palate and you are assured of a wonderful meal, be it lunch or dinner. Do visit Shabestan for a meal even if you are on a very short trip to Dubai. I visited this restaurant first in 1998 and its food and service are consistent till date. The ambience is as pleasing as it was then. Oh! and don't leave without having their special ice cream.

  • A superb restaurant with excellent food, extensive wine list, live melodical Persian music in a beautiful setting, overlooking the Dubai Creek, with all the hustle and bustle of the dhows carrying goods to or from many neighbouring countries.

  • On a business trip to Dubai, I fancied some middle eastern food so tried this Persian restaurant. In Dubai, if you like some alcohol with your meal, you need to pick a restaurant associated with a hotel, which limits your choices somewhat. This one is part of the Radisson Blu near the Dubai Creek. Service was excellent, and food very good. The Lebanese wine went down well with the food. We had mixed starters, which included aubergine 3 ways, followed by their mixed platter. This includes lamb 2 ways, chicken, shrimp and fish. All very good, the minced lamb being my favourite. I would definitely go again.
