  • We stopped for a pleasant lunch at U Cavagnetu, sitting outside and watching the people passing by. I had an excellent pizza (my first in France) and my husband had what was described as a seafood salad. We had both imagined it as a salad with bits of seafood on it but it turned out to be an assortment of mussels, squid, calamari, and shrimp with tomatoes and a bit of lettuce. It was all very good. The pizza was large and I wasn't able to finish it but my husband stepped in and finished it off. We shared tiramisu for dessert. The cost of the meal was 38.20 euros.

  • The service was excellent. The food was not. Our table ordered several different dishes and considered all average. There are many places to choose from in Monaco.

  • When I visited Monaco in December it was a terrible day, it was windy and cold and certainly not the best day to visit the city. I found this spot after a recommendation from a local shop owner and was pleased to find this place was warm and welcoming. I was recommended to try the meatball and pasta dish which was quite nice, it was warm filling but a little messy to eat. The presentation of the food was wonderful and the price was quite reasonable. I ended up chatting to some american travellers in the table next to me who was convinced that I was Australian golfer Jason Day. I had a nice chat with them and relaxed in the warmth before the rain finally stopped and I headed out again to explore the rest of Monaco.

  • We ate here twice on a recent trip and thought this restaurant offered really good value for those on a budget while wishing to enjoy the sights of, the otherwise very expensive, Monaco and Monte Carlo. In the early evening the area was very quiet and not many restaurants were open so finding this place open was a plus. The location is great just a short walk from the Place Du Palais in Monaco-Ville and the side views across the port to Monte Carlo - quite special as night falls. Service was very efficient and sociable and the food tasty (although they could have warmed the plates!), pretty much as I would have expected. The wine was not overly expensive either. Desserts were fine, the 'duo of creme brulees' was a nice light way to finish the meal. Easy to split between two as well.
