  • Had heard a lot about the coffee here so thought it was time to give Axil a go. Visited mid week for lunch and the food did not disappoint. Really nice options on the menu including some excellent tacos, cauliflower fritters and interesting salads. Breakfast/brunch options looked very good. Had two different coffees. The first was a flat white, not so flat and tasted a bit acidic. Not enjoyable. Then a short Mac, this time with one of the specialty coffees which was described as having undertones of honey, berries etc . Tasted the same, acidic and certainly not smooth. Not sure if the barista was having a bad day but the coffees were not great. Service also needs to get a bit sharper, almost impossible to get anyone's attention after the first order. Came for the coffee, loved the food. Maybe better next time.
