My friend and I went to The Hangar with voucher from the Auckland Entetainment book. we both had the 400gm Stonegrill rump. Very tasty with generous portions of fries with salad. I would rate The Hangar a 3.5/5 but halves getting rounded up. The service was friendly.

The food the hangar do is amazing, I'm quite fussy but every time I've been I've really enjoyed the food! Their chicken pizza is my favourite! Though I have to say the staff are not always extremely friendly, I had a friend kicked out once for not having ID and she was over 21, she came back with her passport but she was visibly upset and embarrassed. I really do enjoy the hangar and the food, its a great local, but it wouldn't take much to hire more caring staff, good customer service goes a long way

Well although the food was good the service was pathetic. We were one of the 3 tables occupied in a pretty large restaurant and although there were 2 Waitresses on duty they were never on the floor. Every time I wanted something I had to walk down to the Bartender who was constantly talking to one of the waitresses, The other one was "somewhere"? Now this is another one of the 6 Restaurants managed by The Trusts and seriously, a person with a catering / hospitality background MUST have a close look at the limited choices on the Menu, the portion sizes for a few dishes and more importantly the absolutely essential need for on-the- job training that is so badly required for the Wait staff on the floor.
